Biblical Family Structure

The family unit as we know it today did not exist in ancient cultures.  The nuclear family didn’t exist in this nation until the 1900’s.  In this message we will build an image in our minds of what the biblical view of the family unit is.  We will define each parental role as it is described in the Word of God.

Put God First

Matthew 6:33 tells us to seek first the Kingdom of God and then everything we need will be ours.  Putting God first in every area of our life will produce multiplied blessings for us.  It is a bedrock principle that will build a foundation for a happy life.  Where is God on your list of priorities?  Maybe it is time to promote Him to the top of the list!

God is with Us

The Christmas story celebrates the fact that God came to earth to be with us.  The Christmas story is a love story and a rescue hero adventure all in one.  Wherever you are in life you need to call God “Emmanuel” – God with us.  That is what the gift of Jesus is all about, it marks the end of sin and death reigning in our lives.

Stick with God’s Meal Plan

Everyone of us encounter needs in our lives.  Sometimes they are big needs, but God has a plan of provision for you!  The children of Israel had experienced miraculous deliverance  but still had needs  in the wilderness.  God provided fresh manna for them, but soon they began to complain about having to eat the same meal everyday.  Instead of complaining, we just need to stick with God’s plan!

The Battle of Identity

The cross must become the focal point for understanding, interpreting, and judging truth.  You must find your identity in Christ.  The power to change is inherent in accepting your identity.  The grace to walk in your identity cannot come if you do not believe your identity.  You must discover His identity before you can discover your identity.
