Eternal Life= life without limits
John 3:15, “That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.”
- Eternal, this particular Greek word gives prominence to the immeasurableness of eternity. Life that you cannot measure.
- Life = zoe – of the absolute fullness of life (natural life is Gk. Bios)
- Boundless life, abundant life, immeasurable life.
- It is not just living forever, but having the blessing of God in all things.
John 10:10, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
more abundantly = exceeding the need, over and above, more than is necessary, more than is necessary, pre-eminence, superiority, advantage, more eminent, more remarkable, more excellent.
John 4:14, “But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”
God is the source of abundant living, that is life without limits.
- What springs up from a well is dependent on where you are drilling.
- God is the author of more than enough – too much!!!
Don’t try to fit God into your plans – He’s too big!
- When you begin to tap into eternal life your shortcomings will be overshadowed by God’s ability.
- We are too often overwhelmed by the size of our problems when we should be overwhelmed by the size of God’s promise!
- Let’s plan on living life without limits!
